Privacy policy
Version 2026-10-13
In short: charts you don’t save stay on your device. Birth details are stored only if you sign in and explicitly agree. Our AI never sees your name, birth date, time or place. We don’t sell data, run ads or send birth data to analytics. You can export or permanently delete everything at any time.
Who we are
Saju is a Four Pillars (Saju / BaZi) chart app. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (including the Australian Privacy Principles) and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Contact: [add the operator’s name and privacy contact email before launch].
What we collect
Account: your email address and, if you use Google or Apple, a sign-in identifier from that provider. We never see your Google or Apple password.
Saved profiles (only with your consent): a name or nickname, a relationship label, and birth details — date, time (or “unknown”), place, coordinates, time zone, gender (used only for the direction of Luck Pillars) and calculation settings.
Consent records: when you agreed to us storing birth data and which policy version applied.
Charts you don’t save are calculated in your browser. Their details sit in the part of the web address after “#”, which browsers never send to our servers.
If you add people without signing in, their names and birth details are kept in your browser’s session storage for that tab only, so you can move between readings. They are never sent to our servers and are cleared when you close the tab.
How and why we use it
To show, save and compare charts you ask for, and to keep your account secure.
Legal basis (GDPR): your consent for birth data (Art. 6(1)(a)); performing our service to you for your account (Art. 6(1)(b)). You can withdraw consent at any time — this deletes your saved profiles.
If you save someone else’s birth details, you confirm they’re happy for you to do so.
AI readings
When you ask for a reading, only the calculated chart — the pillar characters and values derived from them — is sent to our AI provider through Lovable AI. Your name, birth date, time, place and email are never included.
Readings are generated on request and are not stored on our servers; your browser keeps a copy only until you close the tab.
The daily fortune works the same way. It also sends who the person is to you (for example “partner”) and, if you give one, your short answer to the day’s question. The written fortune is kept in your browser so it isn’t written twice on the same day.
Analytics and cookies
We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Birth details are never sent to analytics: they aren’t in page addresses, page titles or events. Hosting may record standard technical logs (such as IP address and pages visited) for security and reliability.
We store small preferences (display settings, sign-in session) in your browser’s local storage.
How long we keep it
Saved profiles stay until you delete them, withdraw consent or delete your account. Deleting your account erases it and all related records immediately; residual copies in our provider’s encrypted backups expire in line with their backup cycle.
Your rights
You can access and download your data (Account & privacy → Download my data), correct it (edit any profile), delete it (delete a profile, withdraw consent, or delete your account), and object to or restrict processing by contacting us.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, contact us first. In Australia you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au); in the EU/UK, to your local data protection authority.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Our database uses row-level security so each account can only read and change its own records.
Children
Saju isn’t intended for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data without a parent’s involvement.
Changes
If we make a significant change to how we handle birth data, we’ll ask for your consent again.
